The American Maritime Officers Plans Medical Center provides all eligible members and dependents with the convenience of medical care onsite. The Medical Center is committed to providing high quality health care services. We emphasize the value of a traditional patient-physician relationship and promise to demonstrate high standards of professional conduct, patient care, and consistently strive to meet our goals through continuous improvement methods.

The Medical Clinic staff works closely with and encourages AMO members and their dependents to participate in the AMO Plans Health & Wellness Program. The primary goal of the program is to develop a plan that is personalized for each individual and targets education on health, fitness, and nutrition to achieve overall wellness. The program aims to set realistic, obtainable and sustainable long term and short term goals.

It is the policy of the American Maritime Officers Plans to ensure that all federal and state privacy protection laws and regulations are followed. Protection of patient privacy is of paramount importance to the Medical Center and we assure you that all consultations, medical records, and any test results received will be kept confidential. The American Maritime Officers Plans will adopt, maintain, and comply with the Notice of Privacy Practices which shall be consistent with HIPAA rules and regulations.

As with all AMO Plans Clinic Services or Health & Wellness Initiatives, any health information obtained is private and not shared with any required merchant mariner physical exam process. This information is strictly for your betterment and may be shared with your physician at your discretion.
